Epic Games has officially revealed that Fortnite is collaborating with the rapper, singer, and songwriter Doja Cat, bringing fresh cosmetics modeled after the artist to the island as a part of its annual Fortnitemares event. Fortnite is currently in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 4, which has featured crossovers with Halo and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Kpop Demon Hunters recently came to Fortnite as part of a major crossover that went live on October 2. The collaboration included three new skins that came to the Item Shop alongside several other stylish cosmetics. Epic Games also launched a new game mode called Demon Rush, which is a twist on the title’s Horde Rush mode. Several new items even came to Fortnite‘s battle royale modes, including a Shield Bubble that plays the song “Golden” when players are inside of it. With another major update scheduled to drop on October 9, it seems as if fans have even more content to look forward to.
Doja Cat Comes to Fortnite October 9
In a recent post on Twitter, Epic Games gave players their first look at the upcoming skins modeled after the musical artist Doja Cat, which will make their debut in the Fortnite‘s Item Shop alongside the release of its annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares. According to the post, Fortnitemares will begin in earnest on October 9, meaning players won’t have to wait long to get their hands on these new skins. One of the outfits shows Doja Cat sporting blonde hair, a pink crop stop, and a yellow skirt. Meanwhile, her second outfit appears to be a sleeveless red robe with a hood. She can also be seen wearing long red gloves and has what appears to be a small hook wrapped around her waist.
In addition to collaborating with the hit artist Doja Cat, Epic Games has teased three additional crossovers coming to Fortnite as a part of Fortnitemares. According to the teaser posters, it seems as if players can look forward to seeing characters from the video game R.E.P.O., the movie Scream, and the animated series Scooby-Doo come to the island during the event. While players won’t have to wait long, Epic Games has not revealed any specific release dates associated with these crossovers.
Rumors of a collaboration with the Friday the 13th franchise have been swirling around the internet for a while, though Epic Games has not officially teased the appearance of Jason Voorhees. It’s expected that Fortnitemares will run through the remainder of Chapter 6 Season 4, which is scheduled to end on November 1. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
